forgotten photos

Here's some more photos.
Terry is in the process of teaching Aimee to ride her bike. Tank was rather interested in the bike riding, I think he was trying to work out whether this was a new game that 'Dad' was making up. And a photo showing evidence of Terry's advancing age (he he, I can say that on the blog 'cause he doesn't look on it).

This is a photo of Em and Steph her cousin (and best mate), they constantly talk on the phone (I'm told it will get worse). Steph has been afraid of dogs so we are trying to help her build up confidence to be around Tank.
I put this photo in because I think it's a beautiful photo of Tank, we have a lot of photos of him and of course each one is cute.

One hot day (yes we have them occasionally) the girls, along with Megan our neighbor and Casey from across the road, played in the sprinkler. I think in this photo they're trying to get up the courage to run under it.

Tank was not so hesitant and went straight through and then did his wet dog shake, Megan was a bit taken aback.

Tank tries to eat the water and sprinkler. It's hilarious to watch because he looks so puzzled and snuffs and snorts because the water gets up his nose. I like this action shot of the girls.

Steph making friends.

We figured that Steph would relax a bit more if she played with him and could see how much of a baby he is, albeit a big one.

This is a nice photo of Emily & Steph, two peas in a pod!

Tank is laughing as usual, probably at Terry (he he).

Aimee and Tank have a very good friendship. He is very gentle with the girls which is extremely good, he's also protective of me in the way that if Terry and I are play fighting he'll get agitated.

Well I'll leave it at that for now. Terry's due home and as usual these days I'm running late getting dinner.

The girls continued...

More photos.
This is for a Crazy Hair Day at school to raise funds. Emily was too 'cool' to have her hair done but the other girls got right into it.
See, sometimes the girls get on really well!

The girls had athletics day last week. Aimee gave everything a go and didn't cry this year (she did last year because it was all so new to her), she did well although she was last in all the running races she did well on the hurdles and long jump, the main thing is that she did it. There were a lot of exhausted children (and teachers I think) at the end of the afternoon.
The other two girls had their athletics on Monday - which was great because Terry could watch as well. Their day was an all day event so Terry and I couldn't stay all day. SJ came 2nd in the distance race and now is in the twilight race (not sure what that is yet but it must be good), she did well on other things as well. Em came 3rd in her distance but didn't qualify for the twilight. We saw Em do discus and unfortunately she couldn't hold it properly because her hand is too small; which meant she didn't do very well. It was hard to see everything because the girls are different ages they're in different groups. We did however see the teacher/student relay - very much a laugh! Especially seeing Em's teacher race, he is 59yrs old and still bikes from Ashley to Kaiapoi every day - even in snow and rain (a picture of him biking in the snow was in the newspaper).
On Monday mornings Terry and I take Tank for a walk/run/swim at the beach, it's our marriage time and it's great, we get a take away coffee (fair trade of course) and head to the local beach after dropping the girls off. Tank hasn't been right into the water up to now, he mainly splashes around in the shallows. Terry threw a stick in for him and Tank ended up going under the waves and having to swim - the first time he's had to actually swim. It was so cool watching him, except when he comes running up and does his shake thing - then we get wet as well!
Well I better go it's getting close to tea time. We're having crumbed fish with salad and spuds and peas for tea. Although because it's been stormy and thundering today it seems a bit cold for a salad, but can't waste it. Emily cooked tea last night (with my help) and we had a very yummy lasagne.

All about them!

I'm going to put up some photos of the girls as an update of them.
These are more photos of the girls netball presentation and the certificates they got. And of course the trophy that SJ got for player of the year.
This is Emily all dressed up ready to go to the disco. I did her hair in a french plait and put clips all down it, and of course there had to be make-up! She wore the beautiful pink dress that Gran and Poppa bought her from Aussie.
In this photo Emily looks all grown up. My daughter is blossoming into a young lady right before our eyes!
And then in the photo below it captures Emily the child again (phew)!
