What's been happening!
Hi all, it's been a wee while since posting a blog; sorry about that. Time seems to slip by and before you know it it's two to three months later! I know most of you, if not all of you, can relate to that situation!
Well it's Autumn now and the trees are beautiful with their leaves ranging from golds to reds. I love Autumn - apart from the rain! I enjoy walking the girls to school each morning. For starters it gets me up and dressed and out of the house, and it also gives me a chance to think on things on the way home, to pray ready for a new day. It's restful and sometimes I stop on the bridge of the Kaiapoi River and look for fish and watch the current and birdlife. And of course not to forget the excercise (can't decide whether I should spell 'excercise' or excersise).
Well Tank is getting bigger and is taller than Emily when she is kneeling on the floor and he is sitting on his haunches! And he still has some growing time left! He absolutely loves to rumble with Terry (who is the only one allowed to rumble with him) here is a couple of photos of them.
This is a photo of Tank wearing my sneaker. Isn't he sooooo cute!!! and this is when we buried him with cushions.
Emily has been offered to do a special science certificate for having her homework always handed in on time and presented neatly. She got a commentation at assemble as well. She has the choice of 10 different projects out of 40. We are so proud of her. And today Sarah-Jane told me she also got a commendation today. Great stuff! Aimee is in the top reading group in her class too. Both Emily and Sarah-Jane have started netball. They're actual games start the first week of next term so they've been hard at practise.
As for me, I am halfway through my last assignment (yay!) although I have three more tutorials, those ones are all about what to charge, how to do quotes, resume, and getting yourself out there into the world of publishing. Because this is the last assignment it has to be a good one with high percentage. I'm a bit nervous about it but I have a lot of prayer happening for me.
I'm just going to put up some random photos.
Top left is Emily and her best friend Dominique, they've been friends since they both started school. Top right is of course Emily when we had our tent up in the summer holidays and the girls got to sleep in it a few times.
Bottom left is Charlotte and Aimee, Charlotte is Aimee's best mate and they've been friends since they started school last year.
Bottom right is the girls with their cousie Bevan, Emily is at that age where boys are yucky to touch! Can you tell?
Terry has had the chance to play in a golf tournament (quite a big one for North Canterbury) and has only lost 2 (or is it 1?) out of 6 games. They play 36 holes in one day and are now up to the semi finals which Kaiapoi team is in. I'll keep you up to date. Who knows it could be the PGA next!! He is mourning the fact of not playing soccer this year, we had to have an ultimatim of soccer or golf but can't have both. He chose golf which is good as it's easier on the body, after all he is getting older (I'm lucky he doesn't read the blogsite!). He has got a nasty knee problem at the moment that I can't remember the name of. He has to do physio or it won't get better, it will just get worse. He sort of needs his knee for work so he has to get right. Prayer would be appreciated.
I'm up to the stage of needing to apply for a job. It's very, extremely nerve racking. I haven't worked for 11yrs and it's such a huge change. I'm slowly getting a resume ready - very slowly!
Well I think that's all for now. Hope all is well with everyone.
