Big Changes

Most of you know that we are in the process of obtaining an American work visa. Terry has accepted a job offer in Eureka, Montana. Our close friends over, Scott & Ray Linton, have been able to help this opportunity become a reality. For the last 4yrs we as a family has had a lot of 'stuff' going on, the good, the bad and the ugly. So when this change was suggested we jumped at the idea and have prayed that God would lead us. Well we have so many miracles that God has done for us to open the doors, that we no longer question that we are heading down the right track.
For starters, we had to have finances to get over there and we decided that selling the house was the right step for us. 6hrs before signing with a real estate agency, we got a private offer on the house that we have accepted. Saving us around $12,000. It was subject to the buyers selling their house which we gave them 6 wks. Approximately 90 hrs after listing their house on the market it sold. So that was that and we started packing.
We thought we would buy an investment property to rent out while we were away. That door was closed to us quite firmly, so the search was on for a rental. We (well I) went into a bit of a panic as we hadn't found anywhere suitable. Plus being short term tenants makes it harder. Terry went off to Men's group and phoned me saying a guy (Neville) said a co-worker had just posted a note at work asking for tenants for a 3 bdm house. Much to say I ended up looking at it. Perfect. Don't know why I let those fears and doubts take seed. Our Father knows exactly what we need and He came through for us.
So now we say goodbye to 101 Otaki St, our first home. The longest we've stayed in a house. We have a lot of memories, but we are so at peace with selling. So that's we're our journey starts, the next phase in the lives of the Smith's.
